karma bemoaned unjustly
as i mortgage forfeited liberty
tender angels alighting nightly
their golden halos shimmering with rays sublime
glittery necklaces gracing their bosoms divine
plying me with visions of heavenly design
request i atone for unborn sins
acquiesce meekly to their whims
each day ends before it ever begins
trappings of consumerism rendering me slackjawed
like frozen tomatillos stolen by thieving jackdaws
soul put on layaway to play the part of lap dog
